About Kiruba Shankar:
Kiruba Shankar is Associate Director at Sulekha.com, one of the biggest online portals for Indians worldwide. Blogstreet.com and BusinessWorld magazine rank him as one of India’s leading and most influential bloggers for the Kiruba Shankar blog, though he thinks the results are skewed.

Kiruba is one of the members behind BarCampChennai and has ever since become a big believer in the power of unconferences. He believes that two hundred heads are better than five heads and cocks a snook at the traditional conferences.

Having enjoyed the benefits of blogging, he encourages students to actively take it up. He has lectured at Asian College of Journalism, Madras Ad Club and Anna University where he organized a national level symposium on blogging. He is also an avid writer and has contributed Internet articles to DataQuest, Indian Express, CIOL.com and Computer Society of India Journal.

Kiruba has captained Sify Rowing Team to three rowing championship titles. He is an avid marathon runner and has completed Chennai and Bangalore Marathons. He occasionally cycles 22 kms to work.

Kiruba is based out of Chenai.
