Venture funding is picking up its pace in India. Quattro BPO Solutions received $100 million in funding from Olympus Capital.
Venture Capital firm Matrix Partners made its first investment in India.
Bangalore-based Seventymm, India’s first online move rental company received $7 million in funding. Rishi Navin of Matrix Partners joined the board of the company.
Vignani Technologies, receives $4 million in Series A funding from Intel Capital, JAFCO Asia and KT Venture Group. Vignani, a product engineering services company will use the new round of funding to expand its sales and marketing initiatives.
Moser Baer was part of the $22 million investment round received by Solaria, a solar technology company based in Fremont, California. New Delhi-based Moser Baer is one of the largest producers of DVDs and CDs.
Applabs Technologies a testing and development company acquired UK-based IS Integration for $37 million. The Business Standard reports that this is Applabs second acquision. Last year it acquired KeyLabs, another testing company for $7 million.
Earlier this week, Mumbai-based Hungama Mobile singed a deal with Dubai-based Digital Cityof Kohiji Group to distribute Bollywood, Hollywood and related digital entertainment content in the Middle East and North African markets.
