Jason Calacanis, as we all know, is a very passionate guy, but not only about media and tech. He’s been talking for a while about “media philanthropy” and what he wants to do for kids and a school dear to his heart - Bay Ridge Prep, in Brooklyn.
So we took him up on his idea to launch a weekly show, CalacanisCast, on PodTech. Together we developed a purely philanthropic podcasting sponsorship model, where all sponsorship fees are donated to the “Bay Ridge Prep Opportunity Scholarship Fund,” so that disadvantaged kids can attend this unique private school, which otherwise their families would never be able to afford. And we are so happy to have GoDaddy.com as a first sponsor for the show. Jason just announced this at the Blog Business Summit today.
We’re excited to work with Jason to produce a great show for you, deliver fantastic value to GoDaddy, and directly help kids in need. No, it doesn’t get any better than that!
And here’s the press release.
Stay tuned for CalacanisCast!

[…] But the best thing or the noblest thing about this upcoming show is that CalcalanisCast has a philanthropic podcasting sponsorship model wherein all proceeds or revenues that will be generated by CalacanisCast will be for the benefit of young children. Calacanis intend to donate the podcast revenue to support the education of less privileged students of Bay Ridge Preparatory School. I wish CalcalanisCast all the best and I hope that there will be more podcast shows that will allocate some of their earnings for humanitarian purposes. […]

Personally, I never use more than a single link in the comment I post because doing so can trigger spam catchers if the user has that plugin activated, whereas a single link will not.
