Recruiting for Indian IT companies is proving to be a challenge. In an interesting twist, companies like Texas Instruments are turning to hires in the U.S. when filling positions in their offices in India.
Aloka Naskar is managing partner of Brown Venture Associates, a boutique search company based in Menlo Park, Calif. The company focuses on placing C-level executives in IT and clean tech companies. BVA’s clients include companies in the U.S., India and the Asia Pacific region.
In this interview, Aloka discusses the broad global trends in hiring, and talks specifically about hiring trends in India.
With extensive international experience after working in India, Hong Kong and now Silicon Valley, Aloka is just the person to speak about these trends.
During the 1980s, she worked in India for Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro. She later moved to Hong Kong and worked for Executive Access. In the U.S., Aloka worked as a client partner at Korn/Ferry’s Silicon Valley Office, and later on went on to join BVA.
