You may have seen them on the roadways of North America: Natural Gas Vehicles or NGVs. They look like any other vehicle. The difference is, NGVs operate on natural gas as opposed to the fuel we typically pump into our vehicles’ tanks. While increasing numbers of environmentally-sensitive consumers are purchasing NGVs, the largest market for these types of vehicles are fleets wanting to reduce fuel costs and lower emissions. Helping to fuel this trend is Clean Energy, a provider of vehicular natural gas (CNG and LNG) in North America. Company representative Jelena Maslovaric spoke with me at the Alternative Car & Transportation Expo recently.

In Argentina we have been usin natural gas in regular cars for decades. It’s called GNC (Gas Natural Comprimido - Compressed Natural Gas). Don’t know why other countries do the same.
It’s cheaper (about 100km for 2 dollars) and it doesn´t require new high tech engines like hidrogen or electric cars do.
You can see all types of equipment in http://www.asprognc.com/, the leading supplier for tanks, fuel stations, etc.
(I’m not affiliated with them, i post the url to show you it’s not a prototype but a working, tested solution).
