It's called GNC (Gas Natural Comprimido - Compressed Natural Gas). Don't know why other countries do the same. It's cheaper (about 100km for 2 dollars) and it doesn´t require new high tech engines like hidrogen or electric cars do. You can see all types of equipment in http://www.asprognc.com/, the leading supplier for tanks, fuel stations, etc. (I'm not affiliated with them, i post the url to show you it's not a prototype but a working, tested solution).
