This is a reply to Gregg Scott. I think that a products should nearly always be introduced and marketed by their makers. It shows exactly what the makers want to say and indicates their enthusiasm. There is more credibility attached to the maker's introduction of a product than the professional manipulative tactics of advertisers.

Pretty cool tool, I really like it, but how about privacy?!

This is a great tool for marketers and companies after a specific niche. Without effort they know specifically whom to target because they have tracked your browsing style and know which products you're interested on. Everything is recorded and they don't guarantee that this will remain private and will never be sold to anyone or use for marketing purposes. Furthermore, they explicitly say "Please note that this Policy may change from time to time."

...and then we install antispyware programs, hah!

Check me.dium privacy terms & conditions

I'm sorry, it wasn't 100% clear to me during the demo whether or not there was a way to view 'strangers' visiting the same websites via Me.dium.

In other words, can I only interact with those users in my "buddy list" or is there an option to see all Me.dium users (even those i don't know)?

[...] Me.dium is a bit more out there as far as the use of it goes. Basically, Me.dium allows you to see what websites people are looking at and if your friends are on it with you, the ability to chat like AIM. I think watching the demo video and looking at their site are probably the best way to figure out exactly what it is, but I think it looks like it could have some really cool uses for making the web a less lonely.
I won't use this based how bad this demo is.

Why are there no screen shots? The most basic of web casts use that effect.

And if you're serious about launching this product and engaging me, then enlist someone who has some charisma and telegenic appeal. This reminds me of car dealers, jewelers and restaurant owners who think they can best sell their product on radio and television.

I'm sure this Gentleman is a genius but God this is boring.

I couldn't care less about your chum Tobias.

Robert, could you possibly hook up the demoer's video out to your camera for those portions of the vidcast? It's just too hard to see the screen at this small size.

Thanks for all the great work.
