The Indus Entrepreneurs, better known by its acronym TiE, has become a central force in nurturing and helping entrepreneurs around the world. Founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley, the organization now has over 40 chapters in various parts of the world.
For the first time a three day Pan Indian entrepreneurial conference was organized in Mumbai, India where people congregated to listen, pitch and receive feedback on their business plans.
Apurv Bagri talks about the conference, the role of TiE in India, the challenges that the country faces and how can the global Indian Diaspora help. There is a lot of self-confidence and a hunger to succeed at a global level. These are the factors that differentiate India today when compared to India three years ago.
Mr. Bagri is the managing director of Medtist Group of Companies. He also sits on various boards and is involved in various organizations like the Royal Parks, London Business School, City University of London, among others.
