  1. Mark Fresh:

Intel has done many bad ad campaigns since they axed the great bunny men, but this horrible “multiply” campaign just may be the worst. Not only do they fail to get their message across, but the actors they use are downright creepy.

  2. FUNBDA:

Many would argue that Intel’s ad campaigns are far from horrible. They have evolved over the years with peaks and valleys like most global branded campaigns. The current “Multiply” campaign is a new direction for the chip giant. Keep in mind selling branded ingredient components into other people’s products is never easy. There are only a few companies the size of Intel who face such unique challenges. With the world going digital and Intel’s commitement to lead the way with world class products, the concept of “Multiply” is well suited. There are countless words and tags that can follow “Multiply” and target customer segments while calling out the new era of multi-core processing. Sure the MTV style dancers don’t appeal to everyone, but doing more things better through technology is a global reality. Suggesting the Intel ads are horrible is certianly your choice, but the messaging and brand, I believe, are in fact under-stated when you observe the impact Intel has on the world in so many ways. Multiply your awareness… as Intel multiplies its customers globally.
