Can a luxury vehicle come in a hatchback? That’s the challenge Chrysler addressed with its new concept car, the Nassau. With sweeping curves and a more emotional expression of what it means to be a Chrysler, the 4-passenger luxury model is based on a 2007 Chrysler 300C sedan chassis, with coupe-like styling on the 4-door prototype. During the 2007 Chicago Auto Show, I had the opportunity to speak with Chrysler’s number-three executive, Frank Klegon, executive vice president of product development, about the Nassau, as well as the company’s foray into alternative-fuel vehicles for mass transportation, as well as for service fleets and the mass consumer.
