Last month IBM interviewed me while at the IBM headquarters meeting with their corporate podcast team (which I did an infoTalk interview for PodTech). Their internal podcast of me was distributed to all of their worldwide employees. I had a chance to speak about PodTech’s vision for podcasting as well as podcasting trends and successes. This is really cool opportunity to let the world hear something from the inside of IBM. Thanks IBM for letting me post this internal podcast here at PodTech and thanks for the Podcast!
This is exciting. I have re-published this IBM internal podcast with IBM’s permission. This is an example of what IBM has been publishing internally in an effort to educate their employees about podcasting and to encourage them to adopt internal podcasting through an internal podcast publishing pilot tool inside of IBM.
Who said IBM can’t be nimble and lead again. Amazing stuff. I’m excited to work with IBM. IBM is open and transparent. Great leadership in a new era of corporate communications and social media.

[…] This podcast is very unique…it’s an internal podcast from IBM. They are letting me post a podcast that they did of me for internal distribution (or as they say Internal Use Only). What’s great is that I knew that it was internal but I asked if I could post it anyway (not expecting a yes)…. They turned around and said sure no problem… Our world is changing. Corporations are behaving in very open transparent ways. Very cool. […]

[…] Podcasts for broadcast have really enriched my life, and I know they have the lives of others as well. They don’t have to be just for public consumption, though. I wrote an article earlier today over at the blog of RSS Applied about IBM’s use of podcasts for internal communication. That’s a very exciting concept. One resource I did not know about when I wrote that article was a podcast just uploaded today! It’s at over at John Furrier’s site and is titled Inside IBM. I’m going to go walk the dog and listen to it right now! […]

John Furrier has re-published an IBM internal podcast (with permission, of course) over at Podtech.net. Now that’s what I call buzzworthy. It’s an interview of him by our main corporate communications podcasting maven.
his is exciting….

[…] I’ve already done a few podcasts with IBM at their headquarters (here and here). PodTech also posted a popular interview with IBM’s CTO Anant Jhingran. I’m proud to have worked with IBM over this past year as they continue to innovate. These are true marketing voices. - John Furrier […]
