I had a chance to speak with Dean Turner, executive editor at Symantec and the person ultimately responsible for the Internet Security Threat Report. The ISTR is Symantec’s semiannual review of the state of malicious traffic on the Internet, the latest of which was reported Monday, March 18th. Here is an excerpt from our conversation, covering the cost of credit cards on the black market, why the U.S. is the leader in malicious activity and the rise in targeted attacks.
