One of my favorite programs was the Future Car series on Discovery. In the show, one of the companies featured was the Narrow Car company, maker of the Naro, two-seat, four-wheel vehicle with the banking action of a motorbike (to prevent it tipping over when cornering) with a fully enclosed cabin that provides passenger-car levels of safety protection (e.g. airbags, ABS, etc) and comfort. Hugh Kemp, the company’s managing director and a former product director at Lotus responsible for the Elise, joins me to discuss the Naro, and how life has changed since the series aired.
