In this keynote from Day 2 of the Intel Developer Forum in Beijing, David (Dadi) Perlmutter and [tag]Anand Chandrasekher, Senior VP and General Manager of the Ultra Mobility Group, discussed the latest trends in mobile computing, and rolled out Intel’s strategy around Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) and Ultra-Mobile PCs (UMPCs). Chandrasekher made a number of ecosystem announcements to demonstrate momentum in these categories, including the formation of the Mobile Internet Device Innovation Alliance (MID Innovation Alliance). And Intel announced its intent to pursue Linux as an OS alternative for Mobile Internet Devices.
