If there is one networking event where people of the Indus or South Asian region congregate to network and connect, it is the The Indus Entrepreneur’s annual event: TiECon. Over the years, TiECon has evolved to become an important networking event for technologists, investors and entrepreneurs from around the world. About 4,000 people are expected to attend this year’s TiECon event in Santa Clara, Calif., next month.
Seshan Rammohan is executive director of TiE’s Silicon Valley chapter. Here, he talks about the focus of the conference, the speakers and the advantages of attending. This year’s theme is “The New Face of Entrepreneurship.” Some of the speakers include Meg Whitman of eBay; Mark Benioff of Salesforce.com; Tim O’Riley of o’Riley Media; Robert Ingram of GlaxoKline and Matt Cohler of Facebook, among others.
