Intel ISEF 2007: Banana Ethanol

From the floor of the Albuquerque Convention Center, Intel’s International Science and Engineering Fair provided a day full of compelling ideas. Listen to this podcast of three Malaysian high school students who have begun to study the possibility of using bananas to make ethanol for the Southeast Asian market. Pictured are Muhammad Naim As-siddiq, Mohammad Ashraaf Raiez and Aminuddin Bin Abdul Raheem. They spoke with PodTech’s Jason Lopez.

Congraulation to the Malaysian student. Proud to be Malaysian when a familiar faces appear in high-tech festival. if possible, their video interview would be a better choice to view… thanks Jason.

I and my friends in Indonesia want to develop ethanol from banana because banana is very abundant in Indonesia but now we get energy crisis so the alternatif energy from banana will relief us from the crisis. I HAVE A BANANA PLANTATION HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES SINCE I READ THIS ARTICLE I’M INTERESTED ABOUT MAKING ETHANOL IN BANANA WASTES WHERE I HAVE PLENTY OF RAW MATERIALS
