PodTech.net sat down with Ken Boyd, CIO & Executive VP of Products to talk about the “new” Network General. Ken is managing over $30 million in R&D to develop the modern ‘Sniffer’.

Ken Boyd has over 20 years of experience in information technology. He served as a senior executive at Remedy for the past five-and-a-half years. Prior to joining Remedy, he held various roles at Adobe Systems where he was strategic in architecting client server solutions and evolving Adobe’s intranet with Web and Adobe technologies. Previously, Boyd held roles of CIO at Read-Rite Corporation and Group Information Technology Director for the Unisys Corporation Network computing group, supporting a $2 billion business unit. Boyd holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

Ken and I talked about the transformation of the famous “Sniffer” brand. Network General was recently taken private from Network Associates, over a year ago. Now they are back to their Sniffer roots - a quality networking product in the new network environment.
