I had the opportunity to catch a ton of bands last weekend at the annual Riverfront Times St. Louis music awards showcase. And one of the acts that I really dug was Jesse Irwin. Jesse does a solo acoustic folk act and the song he plays here is a ton of fun. A couple of things I should explain for you non St. Louis folk. In this song, he mentions a town called LaDue. Ladue is a very wealthy suburb of St. Louis. He also uses the word “hoosier” here — that might mean different things, depending on where you’re from. But around here, it’s a common term that refers to what some might term a low-life or trashy. So with that in mind, this is Jesse Irwin.
