You might know Doc Popular as a nerdcore rapper, or a lo-fi techno musician who plays on bent toy electronics, or maybe you bought one of his crafty blue jean wallets, or read one of his comics, or maybe you’ve seen him in a video or two right here on PodTech. But I think this is the first time anyone has actually got him to sit down and talk about his career as a yo-yo champion. One doesn’t get many chances to see a yo-yo champ perform, so I had to interview this San Francisco-based renaissance man when he was in St. Louis recently to judge a yo-yo contest. Oh, and I should mention that the music in this video was also written and performed by the man himself.
