A few weeks after former Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge told me that the biggest deficiency in homeland security is public safety communications, analysts at market research firm INPUT released a report that says nationwide interoperability for first responder communication systems is probably 10 years away.
Here’s an interview with two of INPUT’s public safety analysts and a look at their report, which is an indictment of our nation’s commitment to fixing one of the biggest homeland security gaps identified on 9/11.

Who are these guys and what are their credentials? Who do they work for and what’s their actual job? And what the heck are they hawking in this video? It’s obviously a marketing piece rather than a news piece, full of obvious statements but not much insight.
