As more and more cellphones become Web enabled, Anurag Nigam and Manish Lachwani, co-founders of InSync Inc., believe there is a growing need for an Internet portal for mobile devices. Their San Francisco-based, self-funded startup, 411Synch enables anyone to access their favorites on the Web with one touch, keyword strokes. Users can either create their own keywords or use more half a million keywords created by the community to easily find their favorite content on the Web from their cellphone, Playstation or an any Web enabled mobile device.

Cool, Mny mobile operators focus on forsing the users to visit a mobile internet built on the operators premises. Users do not like that, and ultimately the winners of the mobile internet battle is the companies that “gives the users the desired content” This is therefore a good initiative. Another good initiative is the mobile portal on http://tribes.cc which learn the users preferences and change accordingly.
