Roy Johnson, CEO of CaliSolar Inc. talks with John Ince about new techniques for reducing the cost of photovoltaics. PV Cells have long held the promise of providing clean electricity and competitive rates, but the stumbling block has always been the cost of the silicon chips. CaliSolar believes they have found a better and less expensive way by producing the chips from upgraded metallurgical silicon If they’re right they could be in for a bonanza. This is Part 1 of a 3 Part Series.
