Gary Starr, Chairman of Electric Vehicle Company, Zap! talks with John Ince about the challenges facing widespread consumer acceptance of electric vehicles. Starr points out that in regions like China and Europe, where the government has actively promoted electric vehicles, the adoption rate by consumers is soaring. Starr believes that as consumer awareness about environmental issues grows, that the major automakers will start to reduce their resistance to electric vehicles and the mass adoption will soon follow.
