Las Vegas, NV, April 5, 2006 (PodTech News) – This seems to be the year that many technology companies believe consumers will start to buy content and the services of content providers over IP and wireless networks. The technology has finally reached a level where it can support the distribution of songs and movies. But the breadth of content simply isn’t there to entice large numbers of users to switch (or add). “Simply adding cell phone to our bundleis probably not all that interesting for consumers,” remarked Glenn Britt, the CEO and Chairman of Time Warner Cable. “The real promise of wireless for me is the capacity to offer a host of innovative services that can tie into the video, data and phone products that we and Sprint-Nextel already offer.”
