Gamers are given instant access to video game news, previews, reviews, videos and event coverage thanks to the evolution of the Internet. In year’s past, the only gamer resources were magazines and television shows. Today, video game blogs and websites have won the hearts of most gamers, resulting in the risk of traditional media becoming irrelevant. In this episode of The Reboot, host Rio Pesino talks with Ron Workman, gaming analyst and co-founder of popular gaming blog Destructoid.com, Sid Shuman of Gamepro and Xbox’s Larry Hyrb (AKA Major Nelson) about the state of video game journalism and how it has affected the industry.
