Dot connectors Kabir Shahani and Mohit Srivasta officially launch Bluedot, a social discovery-inspired service that allows people to share digital information and interesting web content globally. Bluedot attempts to find a balance between social sites that are loaded with information on friends but lack useful information to keep users engaged, and information-centric sites that are saturated with information but lacking in social relevance that makes information meaningful.

Bluedot combines useful information and trusted, socially directed judgment by letting users track what friends are bookmarking or “dotting.”
