SAN JOSE, August 14, 2006 (PodTech News) - Microsoft to gamers: DIY! The company kicked off its two-day Gamefest in Seattle today by announcing the release of XNA Game Studio Express. The video game developer’s toolkit will allow consumers to develop video games for Windows and the Xbox 360 gaming console, for free. To test, share and play the games, users will pay a $99 annual subscription fee to join the “creator’s club”. PodTech’s Catherine Girardeau visited personal technology analyst and gamer Rob Enderle at his home office to find out more.

Rob Enderle and four analysts hold forth about computers and consumer electronics in Technology Pundits. You’ll find enough opinions there to keep you happy — at least until lunch.
A hefty thanks to PodTech Producer Rio Pesino for helping me get in the game with this podcast. And to The Podsafe Music Network for indie forays into music for me to talk over.
