He’s been a network administrator, a systems programmer, a Web project manager, an author, a technology writer, and an editor. He survived the dot-com days in his own startup before becoming a full-time writer and later joining IBM as an editor. In his spare time, he is also a student and teacher of Japanese sword fighting.
