Seema Chaturvedi is managing director of Accelerator Group, located in Michigan. Last week, Seema was in New York for a private equity conference that her group organized and I caught up with her to find out about opportunities for investments in India. What was more interesting to find out was the merger and acquisition opportunities in Michigan for Indian companies — especially in the automotive sector. India has one of the fastest growing automobile markets in the world today, and quite a few Indian companies are looking to acquire automotive component companies outside of India, especially in the Detroit.

Accelerator Group is a boutique firm that is focused on raising capital as well as providing business intelligence and analysis. The firm’s industry current practice areas include manufacturing (special focus - automotive), IT & ITES, healthcare & pharmaceuticals and textiles.
