As broadband connectivity spreads around the world, IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) is beginning to reshape the industry. In 2007, the number of households using telco/IPTV services grew to over 14 million worldwide (Parks Associates, April 2008). That number is expected to grow to more than 80 million households by 2011 (Strategy Analytics, January 2007). Providers who wish to survive must have the ability to deliver compelling IP based content, services, and high definition video.
