Graphics Processing Units and Immersive Visuals

On this NVIDIA podcast, we meet David McConville of Elumenati.com, a company specializing in immersive projection experiences for museums and private companies. McConville says that in large projection systems, what used to require several computers and projectors for large dome projection displays can now be done with one computer. This, thanks to more powerful graphics processing units, or GPUs, developed by NVIDIA, and Elumenati’s unique spherical lens design. Elumenati’s dome projection unit was on display at Digital Life 2006 in New York City.
