Microsoft is rightly concerned that Adobe (formerly Macromedia) Flash can become the primary software platform in Web 2.0 for rich Internet applications. As such it might be a major threat to the historical dominance of Microsoft. Greg DeMichillie, of Directions on Microsoft, shares his analysis.

Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional’s “Acrobat Connect” is based on technology originally created by Macromedia. It’s flash-based, which means that anyone invited to attend can get your message using a flash player, even if they don’t have the Adobe software.

NBC recently released a series of six mini-games for mobile phones. Each is a “spin-off” from The Office, which airs on the network. Currently available on some carriers, the games will become more widely available on other carriers over the next few weeks.
