All about the DMTF with Winston Bumpus

In this episode, I talk with the DMTF’s Winston Bumpus on a wide variety of topics and standards that the DMTF is involved in. We start out explaining the basic systems management model, CIM, that provides much of the foundation for other standards. Then, we get into discussion of other DMTF standards like WS-Management, DASH, SMASH, and OVF.

Internet Governance Forum Opens in Athens

Some 1,500 delegates from across the globe are meeting in Athens, Greece for the inaugural Internet Governance Forum, or IGF. Everything from Icann to cyber-security to phishing attacks will be up for discussion in the week long forum. Amnesty International’s Steve Ballingerl spoke with PodTech’s Clark Boyd about keeping human rights high on the IGF agenda.
