In this video podcast, we travel to Austin, Texas and the SxSW Interactive festival, to focus on what’s inside people’s computers, and just how much they’re relying on those computers for work, communication and - all-important at the SxSW Festival — creativity.

Intel’s Bryan Rhoads took the opportunity to blog from the conference using a MID. He used the mobile Internet device to bring his blog readers along with him to breakfast, and to snap a picture of two of Intel’s tiniest products - the Atom processor and the silicon core of an Intel Core 2 Duo.

We showed those tiny products to attendees at SxSWi, and found out how some creative folks are interacting with their computers (and what’s inside).

Leaving New York City to settle in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, these two decided to invest their retirement funds into creating Green Acre. Their goals for Green Acre span from being a green lodging spot for geeks to becoming a community center and arts venue for the increasing number of T-or-C locals.

We got the chance to hang with Wendy and Mikey on our long drive from San Fran to SXSW. They graciously toured us around, showed us the hot springs, cooked us meals, and shared the secrets of making papercrete. In the next few videos, you’ll get to hang with them, too. Thanks Wendy and Mikey! Also thanks to Jonny Goldstein for putting us in contact!

SXSW is all about people. Amazing people. I took a lot of photos at this year’s SXSW and some of those were of the band The Go Station. After their set, I went up to the lead singer and showed him the photos I had taken. He was happy since they didn’t have a photographer there. So I gave him my card and told him that they could use any of my photos. He then introduced me to the band manager and gave me a sampler CD. I really liked the band and after listening to the CD, really liked the song, “All Together Now.”

Later on, while going through all my SXSW photos, I thought that “All Together Now” would make a good soundtrack for a video featuring all the people I saw at SXSW. I contact the band and they agreed to let me use the song. Enjoy!
