Google’s Shashi Seth has your custom search engine

Shashi Seth runs Google Co-op, which is a set of services that let you build your own custom search engine and add that to your blog or site. What’s cool about that? Well, you could add a search box to your site that lets your users just search your site’s info, or just search your friend’s sites. We sit down and learn more about that, and get a good demo of how you can do it on your own site. Google Reader Demonstrated

Nick Baum, product manager on the Google Reader team, demonstrates Google Reader and gives us several key tips. Here are a few: Use the “J” key to go to the next feed item. “K” to go back. “U” makes the interface less cluttered. “Shift-S” shares the item you’re on with other people who are watching your Google Reader page.
