When I visited Geneva, Switzerland to speak at the LIFT Conference, Laurent Haug, planner of the conference, invited Maryam and me on a tour of one of Switzerland’s most famous watch makers: Franck Muller. Here, you get a little taste of how these very expensive watches are made (cheapest one costs 20,000 Swiss Francs, most expensive is a million). I can’t imagine working on such small parts all day long. Thanks to Rocky Barbanica for doing a fabulous editing job and telling a great story. That’s what it’s all about!

What happens when we get a bunch of geeks get together on a Friday afternoon in London? The “Pissed as Newts” tour! Here’s a small part of the tour (we visited five pubs). You get to watch Hugh Macleod draw one of his famous little drawings on the backs of business cards for his blog at www.gapingvoid.com. In the background are about 20 London geeks.
