yet another interview with sound quality problems. Robert get a mike already. I’m tired of not being able to here your questions clearly.

  2. Robert Scoble Says:

Tim, I have a second microphone, but I have about 20 interviews I did with only one Microphone, sorry.

But, what kind of sound system do you have? I can hear myself pretty clearly (albeit softly) on these.

  3. Josh Maher Says:

The stream was very choppy, which may just be an effect of the good interviews….

    Hi,

Please publish all of Scoble’s shows as podcasts too, as we in India do not have the luxury of downloading streaming video.

    Thanks.

  7. Bess Says:

The sound is acceptable for early stage video recording. You can try if you can improve the audio quality by inserting audio on 2 different tracks.

  8. Tony Says:

Robert - sound is fine at least on this video. But talking head videos that last 32 minutes aren’t exactly a good use of video. I listened to this with the video hidden. And I do think that this could have been broken up into parts that fitted within my attention span.

Not sure I buy Kraus’s views on collaboration. Seems to me that the collaboration features in Writely bear comparison. And what about SubEthaEdit - http://www.codingmonkeys.de/subethaedit/ - for realtime collaboration? I’d like to know where they are headed!

  9. Bess Says:

Robert, if you bring your camera setup to Web SIG gig, I’ll take a look and see what kind of equipment you have, the type of mic and how you position your mic as interviewer. Another method is to increase the volume of track on the software end. Best approach is getting the mic input in good quality and volume.

    CEO Talk: Joe Kraus…

Google recently bought JotSpot, a wiki company offering hosted applications for SMBs. The interview comes courtesy of Scoble.

The most important point he made was that the most important “revolutions in technology were do-it-yourself revolution…

  16. Henk Kleynhans Says:

Hmm, I think the sound quality was fine.

What concerned me though was Joe Kraus’ complete unawareness of what the competition are doing.

I’m very excited about Jotspot and the coming integration with Google Apps, but I’m always a bit skeptical of companies run by entrepreneurs who seem to love their own voices just a tad too much.

It would be great to see an interview with Ben Elowitz of WetPaint.
