Make calls anywhere for free with Jajah
Roman Scharf, Jajah’s CEO, talks about what Jajah is trying to accomplish - they are one of a handful of companies that let you call overseas for free, or a very low price, with your regular phone. Sorta like Skype, but because they use regular phones more people will be able to use their service, Roman says.

[…] Over on the ScobleShow today is Roman Scharf, CEO of Jajah which is a new service that lets you use your regular old phone to make free phone calls around the world (or low cost ones, at least). Pretty interesting business model. Oh, and during the demo we make a call to Guy Kawasaki, who is the first technology evangelist (he got developers to support the first Macintosh). Hi Robert
I just thought I would make contact for two reasons, in fact 3 as I cannot remember if I thanked you for your comment on my blog, or should I say my post Robert Scoble’s resignation letter!!.
The second point was that I followed up with a post entitled Robert Scoble’s resignation letter!! which you may want to take a peak at.
Thirdly I wanted to say thank you for this article, as it made me take another look at Jajah, after my first visit from a recommendation from Guy, who I see is in the previous video. The service is superb I am glad I have signed up as it has solved a few issues for me, which skype hasn’t been able to do. In particular I find the quality with skype drops, when I am doing a demo and as I live in Spain and cover the UK I am over the moon.
On another note it also worked well with my mobile and only took me just a few minutes to set up.
To finish I will write a post on my blog in the next few day on the benefits of using Jajah.
Thanks again
Stephen

This service is great for a small business owner - and especially good for using for a customer service or telemarketing department.
The calls are on par and sometimes clearer than land line phones.
So no quality will be lost if one is using it for business contacts

[…] One of the great things about Blogs you get to know who are the people to trust, which makes me think of Exceler8ion’s post "We Come As We Are" So if Guy believed in the product and so did Richard, then I am sure it’s fine. Mind you the video helped, seeing the whites of the eyes of the CEO and the product in action, what more did I need. […]

[…] This is hot off the wire from 3 unconfirmed sources and 1 confirmed. Jajah has tabled an offer @ $3.90 and the Vonage board has accepted. Jajah founder Mr Roman Scharf will take over as chairman of the new company to be called Scharf-tel, I have emailed new Jajah CEO Trevor Healy for a comment but am getting nothing back, my sources tell me that the deal backed by Sequoia and Sir Bono of U2’s Elevation partners was personally instigated by Mr Frederik Hermann of Jajah who is now taking over as Scharf-tel head of communications. Giovanni Rodriguez of Hubbub who represents Jajah will now represent the new enlarged Scharf-tel which is immediately dropping all calls to Zero beginning 1st of April 2007. This is an incredible year for the Jajah concern which having just announced reaching two million customers is doubling its customer base in one short week. In an unusual move Mr Moshe Maeir of Israel who was the disappointed under bidder has been approached to join the board and I one one would like to congratulate Mr Maeir. The new company will be based in Ireland to take advantage of Ireland’s 12.5% corporate tax regime and is working towards a listing on the Hang Seng index Technorati Tags: Jajah, pat phelan, roam4free, telecomsShare and Enjoy:These icons link to social bookmarking sites where readers can share and discover new web pages. […] Robert Scoble hizo una entrevista larga a Roman el pasado Octubre, muy completa, en la que habla de la compañía y sus servicios. Tras la comida de hoy, espero poder contar más cosas de la compañía y de sus planes de futuro.
