I bought a Seagate drive this afternoon for storing my media, largely because they sponsor the Scoble Show. So far, it's working great!

[...] Robert Scoble’s ScobleShow at PodTech is explicit about its sponsorship by Seagate. Scoble, who famously brought a candid public voice to his previous employer, Microsoft, is fastidious about disclosure. However, he often aims his spotlight on Seagate, a company not often found in the public eye. “Is this an advertisement? Yes. But it’s not like any advertisement I’ve seen on the Internet or on main stream TV,” he writes of an episode devoted to Seagate CEO Bill Watkins. [...]

My concern when watching this episode was that it was that Bill was going to push the Seagate angle more. In reality, this turned out to be yet another wonderful episode of the ScobleShow, by showing interesting trends in tech.

The strange thing I've noticed is that video podcasts are rapidly becoming my cable tv feed. ScobleShow is a good example, Google's TechTalks series (engEDU), the TED talks, etc, all provide greater value than anything on a traditional network.

Thank you!

Thanks for doing this interview. I enjoyed hearing what Bill had to say about several issues like the future of storage and physical distribution of content.
