Nice interview. I like some of the things that they are doing. Interesting approach.
Allow users to create channels is a very smart thing to do. With over 80,000 new videosbeing uploaded online everyday the challenge is how do you find content that is aligned with what you want to see. YouTube does not do a good job of this.
We have been in development for several months building a service that is somewhat similar to this but actually extends the community and reader connection space a bit further with an interesting twist with some killer widgets.
