  1. The latest in Adobe Illustrator « Scobleizer Says:

[…] The latest in Adobe Illustrator Adobe Illustrator is one of the hardest applications I ever taught myself. Why? Cause you create imagery by manipulating little wires. I learned it back in 1988 and it’s sure gotten a lot more powerful since then. Recently I had a chance to sit down with a few Adobe teams (Photoshop and Premiere are coming soon) to catch up on what Adobe’s been doing lately. Here Phil Guindi product manager on the Illustrator team demonstrates to me and talks me through a bunch of the newest stuff. It’s long, but if you’re a graphic designer you’ll probably see a few new things. Even if you’re not you’ll learn a lot about how this app is used to create much of the imagery you see all around you (most billboards, for instance, are created in Illustrator and so are many Flash and Silverlight animations — the design folks at Microsoft still used Adobe Illustrator a lot when I worked there because it’s such a powerful tool — of course Microsoft is trying to switch everyone over to its Expression Suite). ermm..where can i download a full version adobe illustrator cs3 without payment?

  6. Dane Says:

I have a question I can’t seem to find the answer anywhere.

Can you rotate an object with a warp effect without changing the effect? Is there something I need to click off or on to make the effect stay the same as it was before I rotate the object?

  7. Paul Says:

Dane, to answer your question, I think you’d have to rasterize the effect in question before you rotate it. So make sure you make a copy of the element with the effect, and hide it before you rasterize (in case you’d want to make changes to it later).

Hope I was able to help!
