Microblogging comes of age with Jaiku
Jaiku is one of a new breed of microblogging tools. Twitter and Pownce are the other two (we’ll try to visit them in the future), but Jaiku was the first to bring us threaded discussions and a Facebook app that works. Plus, Leo Laporte loves it, so lots of people have joined it. Here Jyri Engeström and Petteri Koponen, co-founders of Jaiku, give us a tour and tell us what’s up with Jaiku and where it’s going.

Cool!
I just “discovered” Jaiku last week when Henriette Weber told me about it and I’m already totally sold with it. Maybe I should give up blogging and stick with jaikuin (is it a verb yet?).
Right now I’m using it to launch my Geek Movie Director career and push for the teaser for my upcoming Internet-series “Extraordinaries!” over at:

Hey Scoble, we should really do a show, seriously!
What do you think about that?

I love Jaiku for its portability, tons of feature, and nice appearance. Great job overall.

I love Jaiku. The only thing it seems to be missing is the whole sms functionality that twitter has. I’m sure it has to do with it being an international tool/number.

This is a great interview with two guys that have a really great view of the future of micro-blogging. With so many of these services popping up it will be interesting to see how the general community evolves around these tools.
