VTap brings innovative video search to cell phones
This is a killer app for your cell phone or iPhone. Why? Getting video onto your cell phone is often impossible. Many sites use Flash only, and don’t provide a format that will work on your cell phone. Well, VTap lets you search for videos like, say, “Ask a Ninja,” and then watch them. If it isn’t in the right format, VTap automatically transcribes it into the right format for your cell phone (or iPhone). This is an awesome app and Murali Aravamudan, CEO of Veveo, talks with me about it and demonstrates it.

There’s a nice demo of it up at the Scoble Show site - see it HERE. It’s even shown carrying out quick searches on a T9 input cellphone. […]

Excellent timing…well when you add Symbian compatibility to the list
I’ve been playing with my N95 and wondering how I can watch the FULL youtube.com videos on the go since (not mobile youtube) they require Flash9. video conversion sites like youtubex.com are no good either since the phone doesn’t play .flv files! Its a no-win situation until now!

Great idea…last year! That’s why TinyTube has been doing this same thing for over a year,
for free; just point your phone to tinytube.net and happy viewing.

I agree with the last post. tinytube.net has been doing this for a while now, and it works very well. They also support iphone.
